About Plexi

Plexi is two connected products. Plexi Fact is our data lakehouse platform - we pull data from dozens of vendors, clean it, model it, and serve it back through dashboards, APIs, Excel, and AI agents. Enterprise clients, real traction, growing fast. Plexi Flexor is the agent platform we use to build everything else - 50+ specialized agents that pair with us on component design, accessibility, testing, code review, data modeling, and more. We don't just use those agents. We design them, refine them, and ship the patterns we find. We work across modern stacks; this role centers on our React and Next.js surface - the data-dense review and QC interfaces where people actually do the work.

Why You Want to Be Part of This Story

If you've been pushing what Claude Code or Cursor can do beyond autocomplete - if you have opinions about prompts, agent design, and where this is all going - you'll be at home here. You'll work directly with the founders. You'll have a roster of agents reviewing your PRs, scaffolding components, writing tests, catching accessibility regressions, and generating docs, and you'll be writing the skills and prompts that make them better. The work moves fast and the bar is high; you'll learn quickly.

You'll be trusted to find what needs doing, dive in, build the context, make a plan, and ship - pulling others in when their expertise is genuinely needed. We're a small team and there's more work than people. That's the deal, and it's also the opportunity.

What You'll Actually Do

• Build data-dense review and QC interfaces in React 19, Next.js 15 (App Router), and TypeScript - often the whole feature, from data fetch to pixel
• Render and annotate PDFs with source-highlight overlays so reviewers can trace every value back to the exact spot on the page
• Wire up large, interactive data grids (ag-Grid) - sorting, filtering, pagination, status-driven rows, inline actions - that stay fast at scale
• Build multi-tab, form-heavy editors with confidence indicators, reconciliation dropdowns, controlled picklists, and audit-trailed save/diff flows
• Integrate Auth0 for authenticated, multi-tenant access, and drop into the Fastify + TypeScript BFF when a feature needs it
• Pair with AI agents the way you'd pair with a senior engineer: direct them, review their work, push back when they're wrong
• Write Flexor skills and hooks that make our front-end workflow better for everyone on the team
• Contribute to architecture and product decisions - we don't gatekeep that to senior people

Tech Stack

What Matters

• You're a self-starter who drives a problem end-to-end - dive in, build understanding, make a plan, execute, and pull others in when their expertise is needed. You don't wait to be told what to do, and you don't get stuck waiting for permission.
• You actually build interfaces - degree, bootcamp, previous job, or side projects that wouldn't quit. We care what you can do, not how you got there.
• You already use AI in your dev workflow and you push it harder than your friends do
• Strong React and TypeScript - you think in components and state, and you know when not to reach for another hook
• You can build a complex, data-dense interface that stays fast - virtualized grids, big documents, lots of state - without it turning to mud
• You sweat the details that make a review tool usable: keyboard flows, loading and error states, empty states, accessibility - and CSS that behaves, in Tailwind
• You read existing code carefully before adding new code
• You're comfortable being uncomfortable: new stack, new client, new pattern

Nice to Have (We'll Teach You the Rest)

• A side project, GitHub repo, demo, or anything you've shipped that you're proud of
• An MCP server, Claude skill, custom agent, or hook you've built or extended
• Next.js App Router and React Server Components
• Heavy data-grid or document-rendering work (ag-Grid, React-PDF, Monaco, or similar)
• Auth0 or other OIDC / JWT auth integration
• A little backend range - Node/Fastify, REST APIs, SQL beyond the basics
• A design eye - you can take a rough spec and make it look intentional
• Curiosity about financial data, fintech, or asset management
